The Club provides a range of courses designed to help build a generation of skilled, competent, creative and confident young people. Courses include sports, drama, music, handiwork, cookery, First Aid, pyrography and much more. Participants first do homework with 1:1 staff support when necessary.

Participants first do homework with 1:1 staff support when necessary
We improve school performance by providing individualised homework support to help them keep up and do their best. We then provide access to a variety of courses to develop a range of skills. Each course builds the children’s characters and skills in different ways.
We also improve their health and well-being and focus on increasing their confidence, self-esteem and social skills. When they succeed in our positive, nurturing environment they are motivated to do well at school and reduce truancy.
1. To provide healthy refreshments to encourage healthy eating for 120 children per week.
» At the lifestyles youth club we offer tasty, healthy refreshments, laid out in an appealing and tempting manner.
Success will be 120 children having improved eating habits and increased interest in and knowledge of healthy eating.
2. Homework support to improve school performance and confidence in their abilities for 120 children pw
» Offer a relaxing environment with spacious premises to do their homework with qualified teachers available. 1:1 assistance for chiLdren who need it.
Success will be 120 children empowered to improve educational attainment and the motivation to strive to achieve this.
3. To offer 4 skill promoting courses per week for 32 weeks per annum, varying courses each term.
» 32 Handiwork session including crafts, soap making, glass engraving, canvas painting, knitting, pyrography, jewellery and card making, calligraphy, needlework and more.
» 32 Sports sessions including aerobics with weight lifts, cycling, dancing, KMX Kart riding, swimming,
» 10 First Aid sessions with accreditation including lifesaving and basic skills. 12 cycling sessions with accreditation. 10 practical culinary sessions.
» 32 Arts sessions including drama, song and dance, music and movements with musical accompaniment.
Success will be increased skills and talents of 120 children opening the door to their future and equipping them with confidence.
4. To improve social skills.
» We run consultation events prior to each term and involve them in decision making and planning.
» We provide many different activities that involve teamwork.
» We involve children from different backgrounds and ethnicities and children with disabilities and learning difficulties are fully integrated.
Success will be enhanced positive interaction and co-operation between people and raising tolerance between children of all backgrounds and abilities.
The club will boost educational attainment and develop skills and abilities increasing work prospects. We enrich personalities and quality of life due to increased confidence, social skills and motivation. Participants increase health awareness and lead more active, healthy lifestyles.
We distribute pre and post project surveys, make consultations with head teachers and social welfare workers who continue dealing with the children after the project and are well place to note improvements.
Following each course we send funders a report which includes description of activities and evaluation, surveys of children and parents and photographs. Any changes to the activities we had agreed upon with funders are reported in advance. Funders are invited to visit activities if they wish.
We are located in 153 Stamford Hill London N16 5LG where we rent spacious premises from a centrally located school with large grounds.
Financially deprived and socially isolated children and young people from minority ethnic communities benefit from our project. Most participants are from inner city Hackney and Haringey where there are high levels of poverty and overcrowded homes. Children with moderate to severe disabilities and learning difficulties are fully integrated.
We have a wealth of experience in running these projects as we have been running since 2003. We are centrally located and within walking distance of most of our beneficiaries. Our projects are popular for its high quality and innovative ways of developing children to their maximum potential and therefore succeed in attracting excellent staff and always have full take up of places with demand for more. Staff has many years experience working with children.
